Gardeners' World star to visit venue as part of UK tour

The award-winning garden designer will be in the venue on Friday, October 17, as part of his tour across the country. He will discuss the plants that have shaped his life and the inspiration he has found through gardening. The presenter will also share untold stories of how his passion for plants has taken him around the world and challenged him with unexpected experiences, including curating a garden in Japan during a monsoon.

Closer to home, he will talk about how gardening has helped his wellbeing and recovery, especially when he was struggling with the mental scars of the pandemic in 2021. Sam Coombes, venue manager at The Barn, said: "When we opened, I was keen to ensure we stage shows that would attract a wide demographic of audience. "We are looking forward to welcoming another well known TV presenter to share stories that will resonate with so many.



" Attendees at the show will also get to hear the music that has steered his course and why he identifies as an "old romantic fool." He will finish by exploring the creative act of putting a garden together and embracing his artistic side..
