Garden tours slated for April 26 in Benicia, Vallejo

BENICIA — Sustainable Solano's ninth annual garden tour in Benicia and Vallejo is scheduled for April 26. "The garden tour highlights demonstration food forest gardens, edible, waterwise gardens in yards that provide habitat and capture rainfall and roof water, and several that also have laundry-to-landscape greywater systems, and low-water drip irrigation," organizers said. "The tour also includes community gardens, pollinator gardens and one in a common area of an HOA, so there are opportunities to see a wide variety of gardens and gather ideas to take back to your home and community.
