‘Garden State’ Stars Zach Braff & Natalie Portman Reunite at 20th Anniversary Concert, Where Soundtrack Artists United for an Incredible Show

Nearly 6,000 people were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime experience this past weekend at the Garden State 20th Anniversary Concert, marking the first time that nearly all of the artists from the iconic soundtrack have united to perform the music together.Zach Braff, who wrote, directed, and starred in the movie, hosted the concert on Saturday night (March 29) at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.Zach opened the show by pulling a tarp off a motorcycle and sidecar, just like the one featured in the film.

He then brought out co-star Natalie Portman, who flew in from Paris to be at the one-night-only benefit concert. The event supported The Midnight Mission’s efforts to combat homelessness. Keep reading to find out more.

Laufey was on hand to perform a cover of Coldplay‘s “Don’t Panic,” the Milk Carton Kids stepped in to perform Simon & Garfunkel’s, “The Only Living Boy in New York,” and Madison Cunningham came out to perform a cover of “One of These Things First,” originally performed by the late Nick Drake.There were special appearances from Sarah Paulson, Danny DeVito, the cast of Scrubs, and even a hilarious skit from Geoffrey Arend, who reprised his role as Karl Benson while on stage.
