The BFA-Fairfax boys’ cross country team fought hard during their races at the Vermont State Championship and took second place in D3 by a very close margin. They’re a hardworking group who have so much potential and since we aren’t graduating anyone, we get to take another shot at it next year. Gage Magnuson accomplished his goal of becoming the boys D3 state champion and lead the team with the other four scoring boys running strong races including Parker Haddock, Kenneth Grey, Henry Scannell and Gavyn Roussin.
The BFa-Fairfax girls’ team also ran strong races and placed third in D3 with only five girls competing. Abby Bedore, Lindsey Ferris and Alison Ashton ran their final Thetford race as seniors and performed their best at states in their high school running career. It was a strong and successful day at states for BFA-Fairfax, and we look forward to a few post-season races and to what next year will bring! Editor's note: Thank you, Katie Duval Haddock, for the photos from the road!.
