WHSmith stores across Sussex are to be affected by a rebrand. The high street retailer has announced that their stores across the country will be rebranded as TGJones. This follows the company’s £76 million sale to Modella Capital, owners of craft store Hobbycraft.
The sale does not include the travel locations, such as shops in airports, train stations, or hospitals. Here is a full list of the Sussex stores impacted: Brighton, London Road Brighton, Churchill Square Hove, George Street Southwick, Southwick Square Shoreham, East Street Lewes, Eastgate Shopping Centre Burgess Hill, Church Road Uckfield, High Street Seaford, Broad Street Eastbourne, Terminus Road Worthing, South Street Worthing, Lyndhurst Road Lancing, North Road Hailsham, Vicarage Fields Horsham, Swan Walk Crawley, County Mall Haywards Heath, South Road Littlehampton, Churchill Parade Chichester, North Street Bexhill, Devonshire Road Hastings, Queens Road The retailer has said that the high street chain will operate for a short transitional period under the WHSmith brand whilst the business rebrands as TGJones. Carl Cowling, Group Chief Executive of WHSmith said: "As we continue to deliver on our strategic ambition to become the leading global travel retailer, this is a pivotal moment for WHSmith as we become a business exclusively focused on Travel.
