Qatar tribune Darlene Regis In a heartfelt display of compassion and solidarity, the Filipino Planning Engineers Association (FPEA) recently launched an outreach initiative aimed at supporting Filipinos in Qatar. In collaboration with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), this event marked another milestone in FPEA’s ongoing commitment to serving the community. Led by Engr.
Jayson Buenconsejo, Chairman of the Committee on FPEA Affairs (CoFA), the initiative brought together volunteers and officers for a day of service and community-building. The initiative, themed “Mula sa Puso, Para sa Kapwa” (From the Heart, For Others), is a cornerstone of FPEA’s annual programs. This year, it aimed to support Filipino women temporarily staying at the Philippine Embassy’s shelter, reaffirming the organization’s mission to foster the spirit of Bayanihan (community unity) and uplift the lives of Filipinos abroad.
The Fun Parlor Games, organized by Generosa Benito (Committee on Membership, CoME) and Engr. Felipe Davila Catinoy (CoPI - Reporter Manager), fostered camaraderie. Engr.
Susana Nacario’s family provided the prizes. FPEA’s Immediate Past President, Engr. Allan Algado, delivered an inspiring speech urging resilience in the face of adversity.
With unity and perseverance, he assured that anyone can overcome life’s hardships Engr. Shielu Manantan’s mother also shared a remarkable message reflecting on courage, motherhood, and resilience. One of the event’s highlights was the distribution of giveaways, led by CoPI Chairman Engr.
Maria Cecilia Marcos Rosales-Baião and FPEA Treasurer Engr. Wilson Gonzales. They were assisted by Elmay Sebua, Engr.
Richelle Joy Lutrago, and Engr. Ismael Erasmo. FPEA remains a steadfast beacon of hope, service, and unity, continually uplifting the Filipino community.
