From storm chances to snow chances

Temperatures take a huge drop going into the weekend.

We say goodbye to the mild weather this week as a major storm system sweeps across the US today. For southern Minnesota, temperatures are warm this afternoon in the mid 70s, then the cold front moves in. With this front showers and even thunderstorms move through the region.

Some of these storms could have some gusty winds at times. Over the course of tonight, a strong north west wind moves in, and temperatures drop. The rain changes to a rain/snow mix into the morning, and temperatures drop from the mid 40s Saturday into the 20s by the night.

Sunday remains cooler with highs in the 40s, but we warm back up to near 60 on Monday. ]]>.
