From Rs 20,000 in 1882, Maha Kumbh cost in 2025 soars to Rs 7.5k crore

Prayagraj is preparing to host the largest-ever Maha Kumbh with an expenditure of Rs 7,500 crore and an anticipated 40 crore devotees. Historical records show significant growth in the event's scale, from 8 lakh devotees in 1882 to millions more in recent years, highlighting its importance and continued relevance.
