From IT to ice cream to concrete, Indian startups doing it all

India has over 1.61 lakh recognised startups, generating 17.69 lakh jobs, with IT, healthcare, and F&B sectors leading. Rs 18,633 crore has been disbursed via FFS, while Maharashtra topped CGSS loans with Rs 125 crore over two years.

There are 1,61,150 startups recognised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). These startups have generated over 17.69 lakh direct jobs, with IT, healthcare and F&B sectors leading the charts.
