A North Alabama woman found herself on the receiving end of a pardon from President Joe Biden on Thursday. Harvest native Nina Simona Allen was convicted of a nonviolent offense in her 20s. Since her conviction, Allen has put pen to paper and returned to school to earn a postbaccalaureate degree and two master's degrees.
