VEHARI - As per the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and under the special directions of DC Touqeer the Suthra Punjab plan ensured excellent cleanliness arrangements across the district during the three days of Eid-ul-Fitr. Before Eid, mosques and Eidgahs throughout the district were thoroughly washed, and route clearance was carried out. The sanitation staff cleaned the mosques, washed the Eidgahs, and marked the pathways with lime.

Additionally, garbage was removed from streets, intersections, and routes leading to Eidgahs, while parks and recreational spots also underwent a cleaning operation. “The company administration decorated the entrance gates of Eidgahs with flowers. A special squad was formed to address any complaints regarding cleanliness during Eid days.

Monitoring officers remained in the field to supervise the cleaning operations.” These views were expressed by Chief Executive Officer Abdul Razzaq Dogar in a special discussion with journalists regarding Eid-ul-Fitr sanitation arrangements. On this occasion, General Manager Peace Green Rana Khalil Ahmed was also present.

He further stated that under the special Eid cleanliness campaign, additional staff and machinery were deployed to ensure the immediate disposal of waste. Helpline and complaint centres remained operational throughout Eid. He also thanked the citizens for their full cooperation in maintaining cleanliness.
