Today’s weather: Cold, sunny Good morning and welcome back to Monday. We're in for a chilly morning and a chilly night as forecasters say some parts of the Southland will experience freezing conditions. Look for sunny skies today and temperatures in the mid to high 60s across the Southland.
Along the coast from L.A. county to Orange County, we're looking at highs in the low 60s, topping out at 64 degrees.
Temperatures in L.A. county valleys and the Inland Empire will range in the mid 60s, not reaching past 68 degrees.
In the high desert temperatures will be a slightly cooler with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s, and up to 73 degrees in Palm Springs. Tonight's lows will feel very chilly with temperatures dropping the mid 40s and low 30s. Looking ahead, a warming trend is expected to come tomorrow.
Weak Santa Ana winds will continue later this afternoon into tomorrow for the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys, including the I-5 corridor. Forecasters say the wind gusts will be strongest tonight with north winds between 20 to 35 mph expected, gusts up to 55 mph expected. Winds will pick up in the Antelope Valley starting at 10 a.
m. and later this afternoon at 3 p.m.
for the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. There's a freeze advisory for the Antelope Valley foothills starting late tonight into Tuesday morning. If you have any outdoor plants, make sure to bring them inside to protect them from frost.
