Hotels use various tricks to attract customers. Digital display boards are one such example. A digital display board outside a hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan, is currently being discussed on social media.
The board reads 'Free Spa and Sex'. A local channel was the first to report the matter. The reporter asks the hotel owner about this board.
The hotel owner initially admitted that the board belongs to the hotel and was put up with his knowledge. However, the owner pays close attention to the board only when the reporter points out the content. He then asks incredulously, "Hey, where did this come from?" The reporter is then seen getting angry at the hotel owner.
"You should be ashamed. The hotel is near the main entrance of Udaipur city. Most tourists come through this gate," the reporter says.
The hotel owner is immediately seen shouting at his employees and demanding an explanation. "What is displayed on the board? This needs to be changed immediately," he says. The owner also tells the reporter that nothing in the hotel is free and that he will show them the room tariff if they come inside.
When asked about the spa services mentioned on the display, the owner clarified, "This is not my spa, the spa is provided under a contract." It is unclear whether the display board was displayed intentionally or whether the employees went behind the back of the owner..
