A new service aims to help people with hearing loss in Brighton and West Sussex . RNID, the charity for those who are deaf, have hearing loss, or tinnitus, has launched free, monthly drop-in sessions. These sessions will provide essential hearing aid maintenance, free hearing checks, and information on hearing aid apps and phone connectivity.
The sessions also offer a cleaning service for hearing aids, new batteries and tubing and advice on managing hearing loss and tinnitus. RNID Near You Hearing Aid Maintenance (Image: Supplied) RNID's volunteers, who have a 'wealth of lived experience' and knowledge of hearing loss, including British Sign Language users, will be on hand to provide support. The charity's volunteers have been trained by the NHS audiology departments in West Sussex and Brighton .

"The venues we’ve chosen are at the heart of our communities and all have great accessibility. "If you or a loved one have any concerns about your hearing, please drop in and our friendly volunteers will be happy to help you.
" The sessions will be held at Friends Meeting House in Brighton, Hove Polyclinic, The Shoreham Centre, and Lancing Parish Hall. For more information, visit rnid.org.
