GRAND FORKS — A life changing gift for survivors of interpersonal violence. Four people received free cars through the Community Violence and Intervention's (CVIC) Angels on Wheels program in Grand Forks. ADVERTISEMENT They are all victims of interpersonal violence.

The cars were donated by Grand Forks Subaru and Rydell. Each car is gently used and worth about $15,000 dollars. One mother called it once-in-a-lifetime news.

"Definitely, takes the burden of the worries of traveling, how to get to and from places, the wonder out of motherhood and work and just the everyday life of adulthood," Jana Bopp said. CIVIC was also gifted a vehicle to help victims in rural parts of Grand Forks and Nelson counties..
