With no Fantasy Premier League action for over a fortnight, FPL managers are gearing up for the run-in with only nine Gameweeks remaining. Captaincy decisions will take centre stage this week with the game's best player, Mohamed Salah facing the Premier League's newest Egyptian star - Omar Marmoush. Marmoush Needs to Fill Haaland's Void Haaland went off in the second half versus Bournemouth in the FA Cup on Sunday and its likely he will miss City’s match against Leicester in the week.

Marmoush looks set to deputise in the number 9 position and the Egyptian costs half the price of Haaland. The statistics since Marmoush has been at the club make for good reading for those tempted to invest in the forward priced at £7.3m.

Many will argue in the seven-game data sample that Marmoush has overperformed by scoring low xG chances, whilst Haaland has consistently remained as the big chance hog of this Manchester City team with three times the xG and attempts in the box. Target Newcastle Players With many potential double Gameweeks ahead, we can at least plan for the Newcastle and Crystal Palace double in Gameweek 32 – with both teams having a great run of fixtures. Newcastle play four of their next six fixtures at home against Brentford, Manchester United, Crystal Palace and Ipswich with away trips to Aston Villa and Leicester around the corner.

Eddie Howe’s men are chasing the fifth Champions League spot and off the back of their Carabao Cup Final win, confidence will be sky-high for Alexander Isak and co. The world-class Swede being linked with Arsenal will soon feel like a must-have if he’s not already, and will surely be the most captained player in Gameweek 32. Jacob Murphy is a brilliant option in midfield for those looking for an enabler, and Dan Burn and Tino Livramento are solid budget options at the back.

Kieran Trippier is over £1 million more than his counterparts but now back in the starting XI, he’s an option for those with spare cash and offers upside through his set piece delivery and chance creation. Target Crystal Palace Players Crystal Palace have been a lot of fun recently and play Southampton up next. They’re averaging two goals a game (from the last five) in the league and have the most in-form defender in the game in Daniel Muñoz, who is only 16% owned.

Hitting 11 and 13 points in his last five games, the Colombian has eight attacking returns this season and ranks sixth on the overall defender list. Eberechi Eze has had a great week scoring for England and again in the FA Cup Quarter Final. At 6.

7 million he isn’t cheap but his routes to points are greater than any other Palace player. If you’re on the hunt for a cheaper attacker, Ismaïla Sarr has 26 points from his last two outings and is an obvious buy for those looking. Midfielder Sarr is playing an inside-right role and therefore often in the front two and always high up the pitch in Palace’s front three.

His attacking partner Jean Philippe- Mateta should be good to go on Wednesday night and has been one of the in-form players in the game since the New Year. Oliver Glasner’s Potential Double-Double Crystal Palace’s win in the FA Cup against Fulham means there is a strong chance the Eagles will have a second double gameweek in Gameweek 33, making their players even more attractive. For those with the Assistant Manager Chip still available, Oliver Glasner has an opportunity to score big in the likely five fixtures his team will face between Gameweek 31-33.

Four of these fixtures would come with a table bonus should Crystal Palace cause an upset, which gives those backing Glasner a huge ceiling with the chip. It's worth noting that Glasner would occupy one of the three available Crystal Palace spots in your team, so only two outfield players will be available if you go down this route. Cole Palmer is FPL's Most-Sold Player Cole Palmer is the most transferred-out player of the Gameweek.

The playmaker did return to first-team training last week and should be available to play against Tottenham, a fixture which always brings goals. It's Brentford and Ipswich after that in what is a good three-game run for Chelsea. Palmer hasn’t been playing well, and Chelsea’s goal threat has dipped, but with Nicolas Jackson back fit now, Palmer is a dangerous sell.

Many need the money to afford Haaland, so the midfielder is understandably a suitable cash cow for those making the move to the Norwegian. But with the City striker limping off on Sunday, it may make sense to hold onto Palmer for now. Captaincy Dilemma for Gameweek 30 Salah has been more reliable than ever in FPL this season but his fixture versus Everton isn’t straight-forward.

Meanwhile, Marmoush at home to Leicester is too good a match-up to ignore. The smart money should therefore be on captaining the player who will likely play number 9 against the league’s worst team on current form, which could also provide a nice differential from those sticking with Liverpool's talisman in attack.
