The hypocrisy of Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump was laid bare on Sunday after she argued on Fox News that Democratic nominee Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election because of Democrats ’ “constant mudslinging” at her father-in-law, President-elect Donald Trump . “I think when they got to the point of constant mudslinging and not really talking about what they do for the American people, I think that’s what lost them the election,” Lara Trump, married to Trump scion Eric, told host Howard Kurtz. Kurtz countered, “But couldn‘t Democrats say the same because during the campaign Trump called the vice president ‘dumb,’ cursed her at one point, and questioned her racial identity?” Lara Trump shrugged it off.
“Well, I think whenever you see Donald Trump say things like this, this is not out of character for him, this is who he’s always been,” she told Kurtz in video shared online by The Daily Beast , noting some Democratic moves she believed were “pretty dumb.” Don't let this be the end of the free press.
