The Dallas Cowboys took care of business against the New York Giants this Thanksgiving, defeating their division rivals by a final score of 27-20. The Cowboys had Giants quarterback Drew Lock under constant pressure all game long, racking up six sacks on the day. Not only did Dallas dominate on defense, it managed to revitalize its run game.

Rico Dowdle had 112 yards and a touchdown on 22 attempts. Wide receiver KaVontae Turpin also provided a spark on offense, hauling in four passes for 53 yards. Although there wasn't a ton of hype surrounding this Thursday's game between the Cowboys and Giants, the ratings for FOX were through the roof.



On Friday night, FOX announced that this year's Thanksgiving game for the Cowboys had 38.5 million viewers. It's projected to be the most-watched telecast this regular season for any network.

The broadcast peaked at 41.3 million viewers. In case there were any doubts as to why Dallas is referred to "America's Team," take a hard look at the ratings.

It doesn't matter if fans are rooting for or against them, they'll be tuning in. Kevin Sabitus/Getty Images After the Cowboys defeated the Giants on Thanksgiving, star pass rusher Micah Parsons spoke to FOX sideline reporter Erin Andrews. He declared that Dallas will make a late-season run.

“There’s been a lot of trash talk out there, talking about what difference can we make. We still got some guys coming back from the chamber,” Parsons said. “I’m telling you all right now, we’re coming.

” The Cowboys will be back in action Dec. 9 against the Cincinnati Bengals. That game will be nationally televised.
