People in Norfolk are preparing for days of unsettled weather after the Met Office issued warnings that will last until Sunday. A yellow warning for strong winds is in place from 3pm today until 3am tomorrow with a second alert for wind and rain coming into force between 3pm tomorrow and 6am on Sunday. Both warnings cover the whole of the county.
The warning covers all of Norfolk and is set to last until 6am on Sunday (Image: The Met Office) Winds of up to 80mph are possible with 15mm to 25mm of rainfall expected across the affected areas and forecasters have warned of travel disruptions. Sea fronts and coastal communities are likely to be affected by spray and large waves and short-term loss of power is also a possibility. A spokesman for the Met Office said : "A deep low may cross England and Wales from Friday afternoon, clearing to the east Saturday night.

"Winds may quite widely gust to around 40mph to 50mph inland but locally could gust in excess of 60mph, whilst around coasts, winds may gust to 60mph to 70mph, perhaps locally nearer 80mph. "The wind and rain may cause disruption to travel, with difficult driving conditions likely.
