Cyprus-based Founders Development, led by entrepreneur Mykola Sushko, in partnership with renowned Oppenheim Architecture, proudly presents Smartland, a cutting-edge residential complex located in Pyla. This innovative project, designed to reflect the island’s rich traditions, seamlessly blends modern design with sustainable living. The Smartland project offers a harmonious balance of contemporary architecture and eco-friendly practices, creating personal spaces that honour the Mediterranean’s intangible cultural heritage.

Key features of Smartland: Situated in the historic area of Pyla, Smartland is deeply committed to the local community, focusing on developing high-quality homes that prioritise sustainability and environmental responsibility. The development emphasises the creation of vibrant communities, rather than simply constructing buildings. By minimising its impact on Cyprus’s unique landscape and history, Smartland sets a new standard for sustainable development.

The project was officially launched by Konstantinos Ioannou, Minister of Interior, Angelos Hadjicharalambous, President of the Larnaca District Local Government Organisation, and Ruslan Nimchynskyi, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus. Sushko, Founder of Founders Development, expressed his excitement about introducing Smartland to Cyprus. “We aim to preserve the island’s cultural heritage while embracing modern living that fosters community.

Smartland is not just another residential development; it’s a vision for the future,” he said. Interior Minister Ioannou stressed the significance of Smartland in his address. “This project demonstrates that sustainable development can drive economic growth, protect cultural heritage, and create jobs,” he noted.

President of the Larnaca District Local Government Organisation Hadjicharalambous, echoed this sentiment. “Smartland raises the bar for future projects throughout Cyprus,” he pointed out. In partnership with Oppenheim Architecture, Smartland exemplifies the firm’s dedication to harmonious coexistence between architecture and nature.

Beat Huesler, European Director at Oppenheim Architecture, hailed the project in turn. “Smartland showcases the potential to create new, modern communities, while respecting the unique natural beauty and traditional values that have nurtured generations of Mediterranean life,” he remarked.
