..what’s the catch? Well, Epic is changing the way Fortnite Crew works.

As long as you are subscribed, you will be able to progress through Premium passes. For example, if you subscribe in December 2024, you will receive the new Fortnite Battle Pass. However, if you cancel your subscription on January 1, you won’t be able to unlock more premium rewards.

However, this change only affects new subscribers. If you are an existing Crew subscriber, the system won’t change for you. This means if you subscribe before December 1, “there will be no change to how you claim premium rewards on the Battle Pass,” Epic clarified.

You will be considered a new subscriber if you cancel your subscription or if you never had it before. The company also added that subscribers will be able to purchase passes separately from the Crew. Furthermore, anyone who subscribes to Fortnite Crew up to 14 days after purchasing the Battle Pass will receive a one-time refund for the pass, which will then be converted to an active subscription pass.

If this purchase is done after a 14-day period, there will be no refund nor will the pass be affected by Crew.
