Fortnite’s Battle Royale island is ever-evolving with each season bringing new weapons, locations, and gameplay to its faithful player base. Over seven years, Fortnite has had five Chapters with a total of 32 seasons that have majorly changed the way players play it. The ongoing Chapter 5 introduced four new game modes and also drastically altered the Battle Royale gameplay which is now more advanced than ever before.
However, Epic is once again taking a huge leap forward with its upcoming Chapter 6 next month as leaks suggest some big changes on the way. Fortnite Chapter 6 to add new POIs, movement, and a mystery Void Now that Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix is underway, loopers are busy reliving their OG memories in the classic Chapter 2 Season 2 island and are awaiting a finale event which is said to be a concert similar to the iconic Travis Scott one. However in the background, Epic is preparing for the launch of Chapter 6 on December 1 which is rumored to bring some new additions that will completely change the game.
To begin with, one of the top leaks has suggested that the upcoming season will have a traditional Japanese theme and Chapter 1 OG will become a permanent Battle Royale mode. While these two leaks were running wild among the community, another has suggested that Prone and Swinging mechanics will be added to the game, meaning player movement will be more dynamic than ever before. Furthermore, the medallions system will be reworked and Augments will return in BR gameplay.
The season will also have some cat-like pets called Sprites which will follow you around during gameplay, similar to NPCs that you can hire. The fun doesn’t stop there – a Winterfest update is slated to drop on December 10th which will bring the Christmas festivities to Fortnite. Moreover, the new season will remove Battle Stars as a progression system in the Battle Pass, while a new Void feature will emerge that is said to teleport players during gameplay.
In the latest round of leaks, an Industrial Town POI has been leaked to arrive on the island, similar to Steamy Stacks that many are relating to an ancient Japanese factory. To top it off, the season will end on February 21st when players can expect a first-person mode and also an open-world mode which has been hinted at for a long time. While these are merely leaks and rumors, stay tuned right here for the latest updates we have to offer about the upcoming Fortnite chapter.
