Vadodara: It has been a fortnight since Rakshit Chaurasia 's allegedly reckless driving injured seven people and killed a woman in the Karelibaug area of the city. However, city police are yet to receive his Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report. Police had sent Chaurasia's blood samples to the FSL to ascertain if he was intoxicated on drugs or liquor while driving the car.
A senior police official said, "We are waiting for the report. It may take another week for Chaurasia's FSL reports to arrive. If the tests prove he was drunk or high on drugs, the relevant sections will be added to the complaint.
" On whether the automobile company had sent any report ascertaining the car's speed at the time of the accident, a police official said, "We haven't got any final report yet. We are investigating and determining the exact speed of the car based on CCTV footage, GPS data and data from the car itself." Chaurasia, a law student at MS University, crashed into three two-wheelers in the Karelibaug area late on the night of March 13.
His friend, Pranshu Chauhan, was in the passenger seat when the accident occurred. After the accident, Chauhan fled the scene while Chaurasia began shouting various phrases and a name disjointedly. He was assaulted by members of the public before the police arrived and arrested him.
