Former Supreme Court Justice RV Raveendran has been appointed as the mediator in the trademark dispute between Macrotech Developers , led by Abhishek Lodha, and House of Abhinandan Lodha, led by his younger brother. The matter was heard at the Bombay High Court, and the bench directed the mediator to resolve the dispute in five weeks. Both parties to the dispute agreed to the mediation that was originally suggested by the HC on Monday.

While HoAL had agreed to the suggestion made by the court on Monday, the Macrotech team had sought time. “I am agreeable to go through the mediation process recommended by Honourable Justice Arif Doctor,” said Macrotech Developers’ CEO Abhishek Lodha today. “Abhinandan is my younger brother and have lot of love for him.

I have always supported him in whatever manner possible and wished for his success. I hope this mediation process helps us reconcile the differences.” A spokesperson for Abhinandan Lodha said that he continued to believe that family matters should not be settled in public.

“This is the reason he chose to maintain a dignified silence for over 10 years in the interest of the family. He does hope that his family honours all the commitments made to him as he has delivered not only on all his commitments but has also gone beyond, whenever called upon to help with advice, time, and money,” the spokesperson added.
