A former Michigan State football star reportedly met with the New York Jets ahead of the NFL Draft in a few weeks.Former Spartans defensive lineman Derrick Harmon reportedly visited with the New York Jets on Thursday, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. Harmon also met with the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this week, according to Garafolo.
Harmon played three seasons for Michigan State before transferring to Oregon ahead of last season. During his time with the Spartans, Harmon appeared in 28 games, where he recorded 71 tackles (seven for loss), 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
This past season with the Ducks, Harmon recorded 45 tackles (11 for loss), five sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.Harmon is projected to be selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. CBS Sports currently has him going No.
23 overall to the Green Bay Packers.The NFL Draft is set to take place from April 24 - 26. It will be held in Green Bay, Wisc.
