BUKIDNON, Philippines – Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation’s (RCBC) former president and chief executive officer Gil Buenaventura has died, the bank confirmed on Monday, April 21. RCBC announced Buenaventura’s passing through a stock exchange filing since he was serving as director for the Yuchengco-led bank. “It is with deep sorrow that [RCBC] announces the passing of Mr.

Buenaventura was a valuable part of the organization being a Director of the Bank since 2016,” the bank said. Buenaventura was appointed RCBC chief in 2016 following the $81-million Bangladesh Bank fund heist.
