Former Oregon State stars Uiagalelei, Bolden get NFL opportunities

DJ Uiagalelei and Silas Bolden each reportedly have agreed to terms with NFL teams as undrafted free agents.

Neither player heard his name called during the NFL draft , but former Oregon State stars DJ Uiagalelei and Silas Bolden have landed NFL opportunities. Uiagalelei, who played quarterback at Oregon State for one season before transferring to Florida State, reportedly has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent. Uiagalelei saw limited action with the Seminoles in 2024, finishing with 1,065 passing yards with four touchdowns and six interceptions in five games.

He threw for 2,521 yards, 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions at Oregon State in 2023. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 252 pounds, Uiagalelei played three seasons at Clemson before arriving in Corvallis. He also was picked by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2023 MLB draft.



Bolden, a speedy wide receiver who played three seasons for the Beavers before finishing out his college career at Texas, announced on X that he would be joining the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent. The 5-8, 160-pound Bolden proved an explosive weapon for Oregon State in 2023, contributing as a receiver, runner, and punt and kick returner. He had 54 catches for 746 yards and five touchdowns that season.
