Former NBA champion Matt Barnes didn’t hold back in his criticism of Giannis Antetokounmpo following his antics on the Milwaukee Bucks ’ 113-107 loss against the Boston Celtics on Sunday. Barnes posted an episode of “All The Smoke Unplugged” on Monday where he had things to say about the Bucks star. On Sunday, Giannis was the topic of many fans after his interaction with the Celtics’ star.

During the first half, he committed an offensive foul on Jaylen Brown , after accidentally hitting him on the head with his elbow. After the sequence, the Greek Freak pulled a fake handshake prank on Brown, slightly laughing at his actions. In the second half, Giannis was once again the talk of the town after his defensive performance against Jayson Tatum .

The eight-time All-Star contested the Celtics forward, who attempted a 3-pointer from the corner. Unfortunately for Tatum, the Bucks forward had his foot on his landing area, causing him to roll his ankle upon landing. His actions on Sunday became Barnes’ topic on a recent episode of his show.

“I’m not saying he intentionally went at Jayson Tatum’s foot, but he’s done it before,” Barnes said. “No foul call, Jayson Tatum took offense to it, obviously. Said he needs to be protected, could have been out for a long time.

Elbowing Jaylen Brown and then giving him the too fast or too slow (fake handshake). I’m just saying right now, someone did that to me, that’s an offense for a slap.” (0:39) “This weird behavior isn’t very surprising,” Barnes said.

“I mean, Giannis has a track record of doing some questionable stuff. If you look back, and obviously, I think the way this team has been playing, it might be driving him a little crazy.” Barnes speculates that Giannis’ current behavior may be related to the Bucks’ 2-8 record.

In addition to criticizing the Greek Freak for his behavior, Boston’s star forward Brown referred to him as “a child.” Giannis Antetokounmpo responded to being called “a child” Giannis Antetokounmpo’s actions on Sunday didn’t sit well with Brown as he called him a child after the game. However, the Bucks star seemed unbothered by the comments said about him and explained why he did it.

According to Antetokounmpo, he wanted to play the game with joy and have fun on the court. But even after what happened with Brown, Antetokounmpo said that he’d still do the prank again if given a chance. “I think he’s an incredible player.

He always does the right thing to help his team win. But I’m just gonna continue to be me and at the end of the day if I’m called the child so be it. .

.. If I have another opportunity I’ll do it again,” the Bucks star said .
