Ludhiana: A former Kabaddi player allegedly committed suicide. The deceased has been identified as Avtar Singh of Kishanpura, aged around 50. Sources said that the deceased worked as domestic help as he could not get a job.

They added that on Saturday, he was listening to songs on his mobile phone when his mother reproached him and asked him to pray instead. He left home and soon after, the family got news of his death. Avtar was married and has two sons.
