Farmer lost a majority decision to William Zepeda in their highly-anticipated rematch last Saturday in Cancun.

It was a rematch of their split decision matchup in November, and after back-to-back close defeats to Zepeda, Farmer has lost three consecutive fights overall. But Farmer made more headlines after the fight than inside the ring, as he made a surprise admission on his social media pages. “I’ve kept this private for a long time but I see the concern and speculation about my tick. I have Tourette’s Syndrome,” Farmer announced. “I’ve dealt with it all my life.

No neurological issues, so no need to worry. I’m still out here putting belt to a–! There you go, the rabbit’s out of the hat.” Boxing fans and personalities showered Farmer with support after his announcement.

“I’m happy that you are finally addressing this, little brother. For so many reasons, you are truly a role model for young fighters,” longtime promoter Lou DiBella replied. “You good in my book regardless champ,” one fan said.

Tevin Farmer amassed a 33-7-1 record with Tourette’s Syndrome diagnosis Farmer made his professional boxing debut in 2011, losing by TKO against Oscar Santana. After trading wins and losses to begin his career, Farmer went on a lengthy unbeaten streak from 2013-2020. Farmer went unbeaten through 24 consecutive fights, featuring dominant wins against the likes of Jono Carroll, Francisco Fonseca, and James Tennyson.
