A FORMER Audi dealership and adjoining development land in Bradford is on sale for £6 million. The Audi showroom, in Canal Road closed last December after more than 15 years of operating at the site. Sytner, the company running the dealership, made the announcement on its webpage for the site on December 16.

This came after more than a month of rumours and other businesses declaring the showroom was closing, with the Telegraph & Argus pushing for answers throughout that time. At the time, it was understood that a skeleton staff would deal with existing enquiries before closing for good and the building has been empty for several months now, with a fence surrounding the site and stone blocks at the access route off Canal Road. Latitude confirmed the overall site is up for a guide price for £6 million - £5.5 million for the main site, which includes the dealership and a workshop, and £500,000 for the development land off the access road. The real estate firm would prefer to sell it as a whole but would consider separate sales of the dealership and the development land, according to a spokesperson for Latitude.

There are more than 300 parking spaces on site – 187 secure workshop spots, 60 for display, 65 for customers and additional parking in a dedicated compound. “It includes the access road leading to its junction with Canal Road and a separate self-contained and level development site alongside.” The site has 25,000 daily traffic movements, according to Latitude. Planning consent is already in place for the property’s existing use, but those interested in changing that should make enquiries with Bradford Council.
