In her message, she highlighted that Apple had "engaged security contractors — including translators and drivers — to support the evacuation efforts." Describing the account as "very internal and not for the press," Rezykova also included an undated email from Tim Cook, which was a follow-up after she informed him and other Apple executives about the successful evacuation. In his response, Cook expressed his appreciation for the update and conveyed his regards to her grandmother.

Following her public disclosure, Rezykova thanked those who responded to her post for their "kind words and support," and mentioned that she had recently discussed the positive reactions with her grandmother. "We had a nostalgic moment on the phone remembering that week," she said. "We are very happy as a family that she got to safety," adding that the posting of the tale was meant only to publicly express her gratitude.

"It's not affiliation or promotion of Apple in any way," Rezykova added. People don't understand the extent to which the big tech companies are basically nation states, and the way they take care of their own. It's powerful.

Kreske highlighted that during past hurricanes in Florida and Texas, Apple mobilized "a specialized team to facilitate the evacuation of a gentleman who was disabled and worked from home."
