A sophomore from Queens, New York, Mouhamed Dioubate played in all 37 games for the Alabama Crimson Tide last season. He averaged 7.2 points, 5.

9 rebounds and almost one block per game in only 16 minutes per contest. Despite being part of an Alabama team that made a run to the Elite Eight, Dioubate announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Friday. "I would like to thank coach Oats and the rest of the coaching staff, all the supporting staff and the University of Alabama as a whole for extending me the opportunity to be part of a great run and experience during my time here," Dioubate wrote on Instagram .

"Thanks to everyone that showed me love & support during my time at Alabama. With that being said, I have decided to enter the transfer portal." Just a few days later, Dioubate has already found a new team to play for in 2025-26.

Presumably, he was looking for more playing time and that's why he entered the portal, and presumably, Kentucky coach Mark Pope has told Dioubate that he knows how to get the most out of his intriguing potential as a 6-foot-7, 215 pound forward with good rebounding and defensive chops. twitter.com/XxbJh90HXW Dioubate is the third transfer to have chosen Pope's Kentucky squad since the portal opened. He joins Jaland Lowe, who was Pitt's best player last season, scoring 16.

8 points per game while dishing out 4.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per contest.

Kam Williams from Tulane also recently committed to the Wildcats. Add these transfers on top of a 2025 recruiting class featuring five-star guard Jasper Johnson and five-star center Malachi Moreno, Pope and his staff have absolutely done a great job of bringing in new talent to Lexington. Spooky! @KulhaSports.
