WATERTOWN — The New London-Spicer football team scored the game’s first three touchdowns on the way to a 34-7 victory over Watertown-Mayer on Friday night. Receiver Brock Buffington and quarterback Nolan Johnson hooked up on the first two scores for the Wildcats. Buffington caught scoring passes of 1 and 13 yards from Johnson, who completed 10 of 15 passes for 139 yards.

NLS also rushed 41 times for 177 yards. Braden Long and Griffin Mayhew led the way. Long rushed 18 times for 80 yards and a TD.



Mayhew had 10 carries for 73 yards. NLS has its final home game of the regular season against Glencoe-Silver Lake at 7 p.m.

next Friday at Pederson Field. Skyway Copper NLS 34, W-M 7 D-C 28, Litchfield 14 Dassel-Cokato got a pair of touchdowns from both Kobee Thielen and Caleb Smock in a victory against Litchfield at Cokato The Chargers are ranked No. 2 in Class AAA.

Thielen got D-C’s first touchdown on a 61-yard run. He followed that with a 30-yard TD reception from Cole Veith that put the Chargers up for good in the second quarter. Thielen had nine carries for 122 yards.

Smock had TD runs of 33 and 4 yards. He led D-C with 132 rushing yards on 16 carries. Alex Medina ran 26 times for 189 yards and a 3-yard touchdown for the Dragons.

Anthony Talor followed that with 101 rushing yards and a 2-yard touchdown on 25 attempts. Litchfield has its home finale at 7 p.m.

next Friday against Watertown-Mayer. Homecoming South West-North BOLD 58, D-B 26 BOLD built a 30-0 first-half lead en route to a convincing win over Dawson-Boyd in a matchup of top 10 Class A teams at R.B.

Clay Field in Dawson. The Warriors came into the game ranked ninth while the Blackjacks are sixth. The Warriors finished with 518 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 41 carries and passed for 109 more for 627 total yards.

. Gunner Liebl completed 19 of 28 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns, all to Brayson Boike. Boike caught 10 passes for 148 yards.

BOLD takes on Yellow Medicine East at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct.

5 in Olivia. D-B goes to Canby at 7 p.m.

next Friday. Minneota 69, MACCRAY 12 The top-ranked (Class A) Vikings ran for 295 yards and seven touchdowns on 31 attempts to beat MACCRAY at Minneota. Ryan Meagher led Minneota’s rushing attack with 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns on five attempts.

Quinton Anderson contributed 53 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Destin Fier, Mason Javers and Lucas Rybinski each punched in a touchdown for the Vikings. Brody Larson completed all six of his passes for 129 yards and three touchdowns.

On the receiving end of those scores were Fier, who scored twice, and Lincoln Jerzak. The Wolverines’ pair of touchdowns came on 64- and 16-yard runs by Blake Grimsley. He finished the game rushing for 84 yards on 11 attempts.

MACCRAY returns home to play Lac qui Parle Valley at 7 p.m. next Friday in Clara City.

Lakeview 26, YME 20 Lakeview won the back-and-forth affair despite compiling only 138 yards of offense to beat Yellow Medicine East at Granite Falls The Sting rushed 37 times for 210 yards and passed for 59 more. Brady Dahlager rushed 17 times for 110 yards and three TDs and Drew Monson gained 90 yards on 16 carries for YME. YME travels to Olivia to face BOLD at 3 p.

m. Saturday, Oct. 5.

Canby 13, LQPV 0 Canby improved to 2-3 with the shutout over Lac qui Parle Valley at Madison. LQPV, now 1-4, goes to Clara City to play MACCRAY at 7 p.m.

next Friday. 9-Player South West RCW 26, GHEC/T 0 Renville County West capitalized on five interceptions to shut out Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman at Truman. Griffin Howard had three of RCW’s interceptions.

Austin Rice and Tucker Fredeen also had picks. Rice also connected on two touchdown passes of 17 and 41 yards to Joe Valdovinos. Rice completed 10 of 17 passes for 145 yards.

He also ran for 64 yards on 12 carries. Jacob Savig ran for 113 yards and two second-half TDs on 22 carries. RCW is host to Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart at 7 p.
