Football: Hallsville falls in bi-district game to Port Neches-Groves, 43-20

PORT NECHES — The Port Neches-Groves Indians raced out to a 23-0 lead on the way to a 43-20 Class 5A bi-district playoff win over the Hallsville Bobcats at Indiana Stadium. Hallsville (4-7) got on the board with a 1-yard TD run by Ja'Cayden Bolden in the third quarter, but PN-G added a pair of touchdowns in the third and one more early in the fourth. Bolden later scored on a 56-yard TD pass from Joel Hall.

Hale completed 3 of 9 passes for 56 yards. Bolden completed 1 pass for 52 yards and rushed for 35 yards on 12 carries. Blantom Hale finished with 12 tackles, Drew Linville 11 and Willie Shider seven tackles and two tackles for loss for Hallsville.
