I REFER to the front page of Sunday Star on Oct 27 and the report headlined “ Outcry over food safety ” (online at tinyurl.com/4wsv5wm8) In light of the recent surge in food poisoning cases reported across various parts of the country, it is imperative that we strengthen our food hygiene protocols to protect public health and maintain the trust of consumers. Ensuring the safety of the food we consume is a shared responsibility among government regulators, food handlers, and the public.
