The upcoming Marvel offering, Thunderbolts* continues to raise the bar for superhero films after its lead star, Florence Pugh, jumps off the world's second tallest building as seen in a newly released clip.In the said clip, titled “Something Wrong,” Florence, who plays the role of Yelena Belova, was seen sitting on the edge of Merdeka 118, a 118-story megatall skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.“There's something wrong with me.
An emptiness. I thought it started when my sister died, but now it feels like something bigger. Just the void.
..” Florence said before finally jumping off the building.
She later revealed her parachute and eventually landed, saying, “Or maybe I'm just bored.”This left fans in awe and said, “We really went from bad CGI green screens to jumping off actual buildings for cinema.”To take fans closer to the experience, Marvel Entertainment released a featurette showing the process Florence and the team had to go through to successfully pull of the iconic jump.
“We wanted to give the beginning of the movie a little more weight and a little bit more surprise and upped the stakes,” said director Jake Schreier. Florence said this was something she had been looking forward to since the beginning. The actress said in the featurette, “I've been excited about this since I read the first page of the script.
”Thunderbolts* arrive in Philippine cinemas on April 30, 2025.WATCH THE DEATH-DEFYING CLIP BELOW:.
