KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor has fully recovered from the floods that recently hit the state as the last temporary relief centre closed this evening.However, Sabah, Johor and Negri Sembilan still remain affected, according to the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma).As of 4pm today, a total of 883 people from 253 families were still affected.
Ten temporary relief centres are still operating across the three states.Sabah is the hardest-hit, with 687 people from 189 families taking shelter in the Nabawan and Keningau districts.Of this number, 475 people from 121 families are housed in six centres in Nabawan, while 212 individuals from 70 families are staying in two centres in Keningau.
In Batu Pahat, Johor, the number of evacuees dropped to 163 from 52 families from 177 from 58 families reported at 8am today.Meanwhile, in Port Dickson, one relief centre remains open, accommodating 33 people from 10 families.© New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.
