Flood alerts issued as heavy showers and thunderstorms hit Wales

Natural Resources Wales has issued five flood alerts, but no flood warnings or severe flood warnings

Natural Resources Wales has issued a handful of flood alerts on Sunday, September 22. It comes after the Met Office issued more weather warnings for torrential rain as the UK continues to feel the wrath of a stormy low pressure system. The Met Office extended its yellow alert on Sunday morning as it urged the public to prepare for flooding and even power cuts.

In Wales, a total of three weather warnings have been issued from Saturday until Monday, September 23. According to the forecast agency, some areas could see as much as 30-50mm of rainfall developing in six hours or less. You can read more about these warnings here .
