Question: Binny’s Beverage Depot along Veterans Parkway, near Hy-Vee, is one of Bloomington-Normal’s largest retailers of beer, wine and spirits, a sprawling store that once housed several other businesses. Can you remember what they were? Answer: After it was Golf USA, it was Shoe Carnival, adjoined by a Heavenly Ham outlet. Then it became Binny's.

More recently, it also incorporated a former Outback restaurant that had been next to it. Eats of the Week feature on Ivy Lane Bakery in downtown Bloomington Children pose during the finale of a traditional dance routine for Sunday's Festival of Joy in downtown Bloomington. The event has reached its 15th year and is presented by the Hare Krishna Community of Bloomington-Normal.
