THE fallout from a dramatic reserves game between Bradford Bulls and Warrington Wolves has been revealed.

THE fallout from Bradford Bulls’ dramatic reserves game against Warrington Wolves has been revealed. Dewsbury’s Anthony Boardman was playing in the game for Bulls on dual-registration when he appeared to elbow an opponent. That kicked off a mass brawl in which Warrington’s Joe Bajer, who has spent time with Keighley Cougars this season, was heavily involved.

Boardman and Bajer both picked up Grade E Punching charges as a result, with the pair of them forced to await their fate at a tribunal this week. The results of that have now been revealed, with both players picking up a five-game ban and 34 penalty points apiece, which will remain on their record for the next 12 months. It means the pair will want to keep things squeaky clean once they return from suspension, as any further offences will result in long bans, given the amount of points now on their disciplinary record.

(Image: Martin Taylor) As for Bulls’ first team, on-loan full back Luke Hooley will need to be careful moving forward. He picked up a yellow card during Bradford’s AB Sundecks 1895 Cup quarter-final win over Sheffield last Sunday and as a result, he has been punished further.

Hooley has been handed down a Grade B Late Contact on Passer charge by the RFL, which has seen him accrue three penalty points, while he was also have to pay a £125 fine. Players need six penalty points for a one-match ban, so Hooley is safe for now, but he will want to be careful going forward. Bulls head coach Brian Noble will want him to be careful too, as with Tom Holmes out for the next few months with a chest injury, Hooley is currently the side’s only recognised first-team full back.

Sheffield’s Evan Hodgson and Bradford’s Sam Hallas were both yellow carded too during that quarter-final, but neither have been punished any further..
