Five-foot croc rescued from Navlakhi

Vadodara: They were working on a power connection in Navlakhi ground on Monday when two men from the Madhya Vij Gujarat Company Ltd (MGVCL) got the scare of their lives. A five-foot-long crocodile came crawling towards them. The duo got so scared that they climbed a pole nearby.

The incident occurred near the artificial lake being made for Ganesha idol immersion in Navlakhi compound. "We got a call following which we reached the spot and rescued the crocodile," said a volunteer of the Wildlife Rescue Trust . The crocodile is believed to have come out of the Vishwamitri river that flows adjacent to the ground.
