Five killed as car crashes into parked truck

Surat: Five people lost their lives when their car rammed into a stationary truck on the Jambusar-Amod road near Magnaad village in Bharuch district on Monday. The truck was parked outside a roadsidehotel. The impact of the collission was bad that the car was badly mangled.

Locals had to cut through the car's wreckage to extricate the victims. Five of them had died on the spot while three people with grave injuries were taken to Vadodara's SSG Hospital in 108 emergency ambulances. Their condition is said to be critical.



Local residents were among the first responders, attempting to rescue the victims from the severely damaged vehicle. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident..
