Five killed, 11 injured in road accident near Sonna Cross in Karnataka

KALABURAGI: Five people were killed and 11 persons sustained injuries when a tempo traveler collided into a parked lorry near Sonna cross of Jewargi taluk in the early morning at about 3.00 AM on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Maheboobe w/o Usman Sab (53), Maheboob (30) Malan bee w/o Maheboob Sab (50), Wajid (2) and Priyank (12).

11 persons, including the driver, have sustained injuries and have been admitted to the GIMS Hospital at Kalaburagi. The group of 31 people, mostly relatives, were coming from Bagalkot to Kalaburagi to visit Khaja Bandanawaz Dargah when the accident occured..
