Cherwell Cats Protection is looking for new owners for Rogue, Storm, Lucy, Blacky, and Leia. The charity, formed in 2006, is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers. It covers Banbury, Bicester, Brackley, Chipping Norton, and the surrounding communities, rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing as many lost, unwanted, and abandoned cats and kittens as possible.
Rogue and Storm are a "really lovely bonded pair of cats" who came into the charity's care when their owner could no longer look after them. Rogue (Image: Cherwell Cats Protection) Storm (Image: Cherwell Cats Protection) A Cherwell Cats Protection spokesperson said: "Storm is always right there to greet you, very closely followed by Rogue. "Both cats are very affectionate and will rub all round for your attention and will climb onto your lap if you're sat down.
"They get on very well and it's so lovely seeing them together." Storm is three-years-old and black and white, while Rogue is also three and is fully black. Lucy and Blacky are a mother and son duo who need to find a home together.
A spokesperson from the charity said: "They are simply gorgeous. Lucy is a full Persian breed and Blacky is part Persian so they need an owner with experience with long-haired cats and grooming. Lucy (Image: Cherwell Cats Protection) Blacky (Image: Cherwell Cats Protection) "They are very gentle cats who purr the second you stroke them.
" Lucy is seven-years-old and Blacky is five. Leia, the charity said, is a "playful girl" who "loves a lap to curl up on and get attention". A spokesperson continued: "Leia is keen to be outside and loves chirping at any birds or passing cats.
"She loves to play with a fishing rod toy, spring, or sometimes balls. She has quickly figured out two feeding mazes and is quite a smart cookie. "Leia found children stressful before so would only suit older children or adults.
Leia (Image: Cherwell Cats Protection) "She’s estimated to be nine-years-old. She needs to be on a sensitive diet. "Leia is desperate to find the home where she will be treated as the princess she is.
Leia is our longest stay cat and has had no interest." Anyone interested in adopting a cat or requesting more information about a particular cat can email [email protected].
