Fish and Flintstones: Sushi pop-up rolls into iconic Hillsborough house

You can dine inside the eye-popping Flintstone House at a sushi pop-up this summer.

Hillsborough’s eye-catching Flintstone House is getting the luxury dining treatment. Stone Age Omakase, a sushi pop-up, will open there on July 12, the Chronicle reported, with a private dining room hosting 12 guests at $230 per person. On the menu: a 15-course tasting menu catered by chef Masa Sasaki, who earned a Michelin star during his time at San Francisco sushi restaurant Maruya.

According to social media videos , the experience begins with a tour of the house, a recreation of the ’60s cartoon, “The Flintstones.” The house, designed in the ’70s, has long been a fantastical fixture on drives down Highway 280. Former media mogul Florence Fang bought the house for $2.
