Tinubu explained that the fabric symbolizes national unity and was inspired by a similar initiative she encountered during a visit to Zimbabwe in 2023. She expressed joy that the idea she introduced to the Renewed Hope Initiative has now come to life, thanks to the creativity of young Nigerians. The design of the ‘Aso Ebi,’ created by Bamidele Mofiyinfoluwa, represents the country’s diverse culture.



According to the First Lady, it will be proudly worn during Independence Day and other national celebrations. She also highlighted that the initiative aims to support local textile industries, generate employment, and showcase Nigeria’s strength as a united nation. Mrs.
