First criminal cartel case ends in community detention

An Auckland contractor who pleaded guilty to four charges of cartel conduct was sentenced at the High Court this morning to six months of community detention and 200 hours community service. Munesh Kumar, director of concrete contractor Max Build Ltd, had conspired with a competitor on bids for work.
