The event is set for Thursday, April 10, at the Hilton in Bournemouth. It aims to raise thousands of pounds for heart health initiatives. This follows the success of similar events, with the Isle of Wight raising £1,220 and Southampton's February quiz night raising more than £2,000.
Teams of six will face off, testing their general knowledge while raising essential funds for Heartbeat. There will also be a raffle and prizes will be awarded to the winning team. Tanya Harder, community fundraising and marketing manager, said: "We are looking forward to bringing our Beat the Heat quiz night to Bournemouth.
"This event is all about having fun and supporting a cause that truly makes a difference. "We look forward to welcoming everybody on the night." Ms Harder added: "Bringing Beat the Heat to Dorset is also fitting for us because around 30 per cent of the families who stay at Rotary Heartbeat House come from Dorset.
" Rotary Heartbeat House provides accommodation for patients receiving cardiac care and their families. Tickets are available to book now, with more details on the Heartbeat website..
