Biff Poggi has had a whirlwind of a week. On Monday, he was fired as the Charlotte 49ers head coach after they suffered a 59-24 loss at the hands of South Florida in Week 12. The next day, Poggi ended up going viral for making an appearance at Charlotte's practice, where he got mobbed by his former players.

As if the past few days haven't been crazy enough for Poggi, it looks like he has no intention of slowing down. That's because the recently fired head coach revealed some big plans he has for the upcoming weekend. With no game to coach now that Charlotte has let go of him, Poggi has some free time on his hands, but it shouldn't be much of a surprise that he isn't straying too far away from college football.

And as it turns out, he will be paying his old friend Sherrone Moore and the Michigan Wolverines a visit on Friday and Saturday. Love my players at CLT ✅ love my coaches and staff at CLT ✅ love the students at CLT ✅ I will be spending Friday and Saturday with my old friend @Coach_SMoore #goblue Poggi worked as an analyst for Michigan during the 2016 campaign, and he returned for two seasons in 2021 and 2022 to work as the team's associate head coach. During that second stint with the Wolverines, he worked alongside Moore, who was working as the team's co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at the time.

Now that he doesn't have to worry about the 49ers, Poggi will be taking a trip to Michigan to pay his old friend in Moore a visit. While Poggi is out of a job due to Charlotte's struggles, it's been an equally tough season for the Wolverines, who are just 5-5 on the year. © Daniel Kucin Jr.

-Imagn Images What the future holds for Poggi remains to be seen, but for the time being, he's going to enjoy himself. His stint with Charlotte as their head coach did not go all that well, so teams may be hesitant to hand him another head coaching gig after his failures with them. For now, he will be focused on enjoying his trip to Michigan, and reconnecting with Moore.

The Wolverines are set to take on the Northwestern Wildcats in Week 13, with kickoff for this game being scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 3:30 P.M.
